DISCOVER KANAWA ISLAND

A small island in the middle of the Flores sea

Kanawa Island is a warm, white-sanded paradise

When you first set foot on Kanawa Island, you will feel at peace. With only a short 1 hour cruise from Labuan Bajo, this small 80-acre island is a beauty.

Two lush green hills make up the terrain of Kanawa, surrounded by white and ashy beaches. The softness of the view and peaceful island feeling gives Kanawa a magically calm aura.

Due to the lack of facilities on the island, don’t forget your SPF and your necessary belongings!

A serene landscape full of paradise-like beaches

Take one of the many bean bags on the beaches

— or opt for lying on the soft sand. Have an invigorating rest and breath in the fresh salty air of the Flores sea. Due to Kanawa island’s remoteness, there is no power and no internet. This gives you the perfect amount of time to reboot. You can enjoy the moment, away from our digital lives.

The small resort on the island and the boats coming to shore offer refreshments and food for a truly relaxing time.

A great spot for snorkelling

The calm waters around Kanawa are ideal for snorkelling.

The rich blue waters are full of colourful corals and tropical creatures. Swim and feel close to nature without having to dive deep. Spottings of beautiful marine life have been recorded on Kanawa — dolphins, turtles, small reef sharks and macro fish.

Do not worry though if you have forgotten your gear, some small facilities on the island offer rentals.
