DISCOVER GILI LAWA DARAT

A savanna-filled island with amazing views

Gili Lawa Darat, combine trekking and adventurous watersports

Situated on the northern side of the Komodo Island, Gili Lawa Darat is an impressive landscape. As you approach it, you will be in awe at how the bay curls around the Flores sea. With shallow reefs and a contrasting sea floor, enjoy watching all the aspects of the island from the boat or from the barren terrain.

It’s only a short 30-minute to an hour trek to the top of the hill. From the top, you will have an amazing view of the Komodo Island’s northern tip and the turquoise ocean. Crawling through Gili Lawa Darat’s savannah is a unique experience. Thankfully, the green and yellow prairies are hidden away from the strong winds.

Don’t forget your handy trekking shoes as there is no set path to the top!
